The President is responsible for appointment of justices; appointment of executive board vacancies; assuring implementation of State Statute 36.09(5); acting as a liaison between students, faculty, academic staff, administration, and the community; as well as serving as a member of several councils, boards and committees. The President also chairs the senate, is the director of executive board meetings and has veto power over all presented motions.
The Vice President is responsible for supervision and scheduling of elections; financial paperwork; office policies; executive evaluations; quarterly reports, chairing the Adacemic Affairs Committee; serving on the Strategic Planning Committee; recording the minutes; filing of minutes, motions, and all official documents; and assigning constituency.
The Director of Legislative Affairs is responsible to serve as a lobbier and communicator between student government and our local and state representatives. Other responsibilities include attending or appointing an attendee to City Council meetings, and keeping Stout students informed on legislative government issues pertaining to university students.
The Director of Financial Affairs is responsible for preparing and allocating budgets for various organizations on campus as well as managing the distribution of Segregated and Technology Fees on campus.
The Director of Public Relations is responsible for promotion of SSA, coordinating the Spring Awards Banquet, submitting press releases, and coordinating the Housing Fair in conjunction with the Financial Affairs Director.
The Director of Creative Development is responsible for establishing the SSA and USS visual schema, publication of materials on the web, upkeep of the SSA website, maintenance of the housing website, poster design, and working as a member of the Public Relations Committee.
